SOT Thalia - "It's not like a law that you have to make it in America because it's not like that. The world is so big and there are so many different cultures, so many different people that want to hear Latin pop music or a Latin act." 4. Video clip - 'Tu Y Yo' 5. SOT Thalia - "It's amazing, you can do it. You can really get into the American audience. It will be amazing too, a beautiful thing for you." 6. Video clip - 'Tu Y Yo' 7. SOT Thalia - "I don't know how everything was so there for me, I never knocked on the door saying 'give me an opportunity', or never went to casting lines, or I never searched for work, everything came, one thing after the other." 8. B-roll Thalia with her mother 9. SOT Thalia - "I lost my father when I was 5 years old and there was just women in the family, my mother, my four sisters and my grandmother and I. I met him when I was already Thalia and when I was already known in all these countries and I already had a career and I was already with nine records and I was already with 7 soap operas and so I was already a figure. He saw the person and I saw the person and it is beautiful. It's normal." 14. Still of Thalia and Tommy Mottola 15.SOT Thalia - "He's been creating huge careers and it would be stupid of me not to pay attention to the comments that this guy has to offer me. He respects me a lot because I am a tough girl and I am like a Mexican. I know what I want and how I want it. He listens and he says things like 'you take it or don't take it, I respect you'." 16. Opening credits for Thalia's hit soap opera 'Marimar' 17.SOT Thalia - "I read about 2 brothers, one was watching 'Marimar' was the name of one of my biggest soap operas, then at the same time on another channel it was football, it was so huge. So the oldest brother arrived and wanted to change it and the other guy said 'No I'm watching 'Marimar', 'No I want to watch the soccer', 'No I want to watch 'Marimar', so they guy who was watching Marimar went in to his room and took a gun and shot the brother. He shot his brother and changed it, sat down and he watched the end of 'Marimar'." 18.EPK footage of fans mobbing Thalia at the airport 19. SOT Thalia - "It has a bad part but it also has a beautiful part, for example in the hospital, the girls, the babies, the mothers use my soap opera names like Thalia or Marimar or whatever and that is beautiful." 20. Music clip - 'Reencarnacion' 21. SOT Question - "What would people be most surprised and most interested to know about you, that they might not know." SOT Thalia - "I'm natural, that I haven't had any surgery, that is a reality. Then I don't know, what else. I am a very impatient person. I work on that every single day of my life. That's it. I'm calm sometimes and sometimes I am very aggressive and sometimes I am very sweet and sometimes I am like a lion. I am a double personality, kind of thing, but lovely." 20. Music clip - 'Amor A La Mexicana' STORYLINE: THALIA TAKES ON THE WORLD Like her namesake of Greek mythology who inspired poets of antiquity, Mexican singer and actress Thalia has worked her magic on millions of fans around the world. From Argentina to Yemen, the queen of soap operas ruled over the 90s starring in her country's highest-rated TV melodramas, and bewitched many more with her albums. Only in the Anglo-Saxon world has she remained anonymous. That is now set to change. Her first album with several English tracks on it is now atop the Latin charts and she is set to vie with the likes of Britney and Shakira for the pop princess crown. She's already made a splash on Rosie O'Donnell's high-rated talk show in the U.S. and she is getting the best advice in the business for free from her hubbie, Sony Records head honcho Tommy Mottola whom she married in a fairy tale wedding at New York City's famous St. Patrick's Cathedral in 2000. Now Mrs Mottola is hoping that she can follow in the footsteps on her husband's ex, Mariah Carey,. She has recorded albums in Spanish, Portuguese and even tried Filipino, which explains her multi-cultural appeal. But English-language fame eludes her so far, something she hopes to rectify with her new album 'Thalia', featuring the single 'Tu Y Yo', which also includes three English-language songs. Then, later in the year, she will release her first all-English language album. Ever since she was a child, the youngest of five sister, in Mexico City, Thalia Sodi's dream was to become the brightest star and her musical career began aged nine . As her career as a singer took off, Thalia also grew as an actress, working her way up with small roles in the soap-operas The turning point came when Thalia agreed to star in a trilogy of soap operas, playing characters called Maria. The first one, 'Maria Mercedes,' came out in 1992 and quickly broke all ratings records. Success knocked on her door for a third time with 1995's 'Maria la del barrio.' Thalia's name became synonymous with Mexico. The 'telenovelas' were a hit in over 120 countries, and Thalia became a global household name. The star is wanted everywhere. In Latvia they love her, in the Philippines she has a god-like status and people will literally kill to catch a glimpse of her. In Mexican-dominated Los Angeles they even celebrate 'Thalia Day.' Her international stardom as an actress opened even more doors for her as a singer. Her combination of sexy performance, tropical rhythms and enchanting ballads made Thalia's sound a recognisable one in many countries around the world. Best of all, the party's lead organizer is Deborah Dannelly of Corpus Christi, leader of Jackson's U.S. fan club. Tickets for the "Celebration of Love" event were still available Wednesday through Ticketmaster. The lead organizer is Deborah Dannelly, a legal assistant in Corpus Christi, Texas, and president of the singer's U.S. fan club.Guitarist Slash, singer Usher and film director Brett Ratner are expected as guests, the fan club said. A German-born artist will present Jackson with a wood sculpture of two lions, and visits to Jackson's Neverland ranch will be raffled for charity. Michael Joseph Jackson was born on the 29th of August 1958 in Gary, Indiana. He was the 7th of nine children. Michael began his musical career at the age of 5 as the lead singer of the Jackson 5 who formed in 1964. In these early years the Jackson 5, Jackie, Jermaine,Tito,Marlon and lead singer Michael played local clubs and bars in Gary Indiana. In 1968 the Bobby Taylor and The Vancouvers discovered the Jackson five and from there they got an audition for Berry Gordy of Motown Records. The Jackson 5 signed for Motown and moved to California. Their first 4 singles, "I Want You Back", "ABC", "The Love You Save", and "I'll Be There" all made US No1 hits. The Jackson 5 recorded 14 albums and Michael recorded 4 solo albums with Motown. In 1977 Michael made his first film debut when he starred in the musical 'The Wiz' playing Scarecrow with Diana Ross in the lead role of Dorothy. It was at this time Michael met Quincy Jones who was doing the score for the film. Michael teamed up with Quincey Jones as his producer for his first solo album with Epic Records. The album titled "Off The Wall" was a big success around the world and the first ever album to release a record breaking 4 No1 singles in the US. In 1982 Michael Jackson released the world's largest selling album of all time, 'Thriller'. This album produced 7 hit singles, breaking yet again more records, and went on to sell over 50 million copies worldwide. In 1983 Michael performed the now legendary moonwalk for the first time on the 'Motown 25 years' anniversary show. 1988, Michael wrote his first autobiography talking for the first time on his childhood and his career. At the end of the 1980s Michael was named 'Artist Of The Decade' for his success off of his 'Thriller' and 'Bad' albums. 1991 saw Michael signed with Sony Music the biggest ever recording contract and released his fourth solo album, 'Dangerous'. He toured the world again in 1992, taking his shows to countries that had never before been visited by a pop/rock artist. Also Michael founded the 'Heal the World Foundation' to help improve the lives of children across the world. In 1994 Michael married Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of rock legend Elvis Presley. The marriage only lasted for 19 months, as they divorced in 1996. 1995 saw Michael release a fifth solo album, 'HIStory', which was a double album, first half new material and second half half greatest hits. In late 1996, Jackson remarried to nurse Debbie Rowe; over the next two years, the couple had two children, son Prince Michael Jackson Jr. and daughter Paris Michael Katherine Jackson. However, Jackson and Rowe divorced in late 1999. In 2001, Jackson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and later held a massive concert at Madison Square Garden celebrating the 30th anniversary of his first solo record. Among many other celebrity guests, the show featured the first on-stage reunion of the Jacksons since the Victory tour. In the wake of September 11, Jackson put together an all-star charity benefit single, "What More Can I Give." His new album, Invincible, was released late in the year, marking the first time he'd issued a collection of entirely new material since Dangerous; it found him working heavily with urban soul production wizard Rodney Jerkins. 'Invincible' debuted at number one and quickly went double-platinum; however, its initial singles, "You Rock My World" and "Butterflies," had rather disappointing showings on the charts, with the latter not even reaching the Top Ten. To compound matters, the expensive "What More Can I Give" single and video were cancelled by Sony when executive producer Marc Schaffel was revealed to work in pornography. Jackson's camp tried to distance the singer from Schaffel, and the various corporations that were attached to it (McDonalds, Sony) claimed they had minimal involvement if any with the song. Sony and Jackson began a press war in the summer of 2002, starting with Jackson's claims that the label asked for $200 million to pay them back for marketing costs. Although they had spent $55 million on his disappointing comeback, Sony released a statement saying that no such request had ever been made. Jackson stewed for a few weeks before launching a press attack on Sony Music chairman Tommy Mottola, calling him "devilish" and making claims that he used racist language and held down black artists. Many Sony artists, including Mariah Carey and Ricky Martin, defended Mottola, but Jackson and his family maintained that racism ended their professional relationship. From that point, Jackson's career took an extreme turn towards the bizarre, starting with MTV's annual Video Awards. When Britney Spears presented him with a birthday cake, an offhand remark about being the artist of the millennium inspired a rambling Jackson to accept a meaningless trophy (which everyone presenting onstage received) as an actual Artist of the Millennium award. Next came accusations from a promotional company over his promises of a tour and several appearances that he then cancelled. Jackson arrived in court late, gave a drowsy testimony, and inspired gasps when he removed a surgical mask to reveal his nose had caved in from a botched cosmetic surgery. Only days later, German fans were horrified when Jackson came to the balcony of his hotel suite and briefly dangled a squirming baby, his son Prince Michael the II, over the edge with one arm. Although he apologized the next day, claiming he had gotten caught up in the moment, this only did more to cement the King of Pop's public image as an out-of-control millionaire. CLEARANCE DETAILS

He was 86. McMahon died shortly after midnight at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center surrounded by his wife, Pam, and other family members, said his publicist, Howard Bragman. McMahon broke his neck in a fall in March 2007, and battled a series of financial problems as his injuries prevented him from working. On Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood on Tuesday, workers placed flowers and a wreath bearing McMahon's name on top of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Cameramen and reporters gathered as onlookers -- tourists and locals -- remembered McMahon. "He was a great sidekick to Johnny Carson. 'Star Search' -- a lot of stars became famous because of him," tourist Kim Ward said. "Publishers Clearing House -- he could've came to my house and said 'Hey, you're a winner! Ten million dollars!' He was just a great guy." Tom Schriber, another tourist, said: "I mean he was almost as important I think as Johnny himself in those shows. You know, the shows always began with Ed saying at some point along the line 'Here's Johnny!' A very important contribution, I think. Sorry to see him go. I understand in recent years he had fallen on hard times." McMahon and Carson had worked together for nearly five years on the game show "Who Do You Trust?" when Carson took over NBC's late-night show from Jack Paar in October 1962. McMahon played second banana on "Tonight" until Carson retired in 1992. McMahon's medical and financial problems kept him in the headlines in his last years. It was reported in June 2008 that he was facing possible foreclosure on his Beverly Hills home. By year's end, a deal was worked out allowing him to stay in his home, but legal action involving other alleged debts continued. Born Edward Leo Peter McMahon Jr. on March 6, 1923, in Detroit, McMahon grew up in Lowell, Mass. He got his start on television playing a circus clown on the 1950-51 variety series "Big Top." But the World War II Marine veteran interrupted his career to serve as a fighter pilot in Korea. McMahon and Clark also teamed up as pitchmen for American Family Publishers' sweepstakes, with their faces a familiar sight on contest entry forms and in TV commercials. McMahon was known for his ongoing commercials for Budweiser as well. Besides his wife, Pam, McMahon is survived by children Claudia, Katherine, Linda, Jeffrey and Lex. Bragman said no funeral arrangements have been made. I don't even really see it as hosting the show, I see it as just me hanging out with, you know, the public. It might be a different approach because I'm kind of more, you know, a laid-back, class clown type of character." AP Television Los Angeles, 21 May 2009 5. We got every type of talent, I mean, we got wonderful singers just as Susan was, then at the same time we got some phenomenal young people, we got some amazing dancers, we got some strange, quirky people that just want to be on TV. I mean, we got it all." AP Television Los Angeles, 21 May 2009 9. Mid-shot of contestant playing keyboards during audition AP Television -- via satellite Los Angeles, 22 June 2009 10. SOUNDBITE (English) Nick Cannon/Host, on the craziest talent he's seen: "So far, I've seen a man drill into his face and that was strange. He had a power drill and he was drilling into his face. I don't ever want to see that again, but it was talent in some people's book." AP Television Los Angeles, 21 May 2009 11. 'America's Got Talent' judge Piers Morgan talks to a reporter 12. He should never pick up a basketball ever again. You know, Sharon Osbourne is probably one of the most lovely, nurturing people in the world. She's just always all smiles and hugs and David is just a bucket of fun. He makes me laugh every time we hang out." AP Television Los Angeles, 21 May 2009 15. Wide shot of judges' backs as they critique a performance NICK CANNON TAKES OVER 'AMERICA'S GOT TALENT' Nick Cannon -- recording artist, actor and Mariah Carey's husband -- can add a new title to his resume: Reality TV host. The 28-year-old Cannon will conduct the fourth season of "America's Got Talent." The variety show features everything from frisbee-catching dogs to singers, dancers, and a guy who demonstrates his unique skill -- power drilling his face. "I don't ever want to see that again, but it was talent in some people's book," said Cannon during a satellite interview to promote the show. The show is hoping for a ratings bump this season, following the buzz generated by Susan Boyle on the UK counterpart, 'Britain's Got Talent.' "I always say we got Boyle and beyond," said Cannon. "We got every type of talent, I mean, we got wonderful singers just as Susan was, then at the same time we got some phenomenal young people, we got some amazing dancers, we got some strange, quirky people that just want to be on TV." Cannon succeeds Jerry Springer and Regis Philbin as host, but wasn't very specific when asked if his hosting approach would be radically different. "I see it as just me hanging out with, you know, the public," he said. "It might be a different approach because I'm kind of more, you know, a laid-back, class clown type of character." Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and David Hasselhoff return as judges. Cannon said he's close to all three of them. "We get a chance to hang out all the time. I mean, in Vegas me and Piers was playing basketball. He's horrible. He should never pick up a basketball ever again. You know, Sharon Osbourne is probably one of the most lovely, nurturing people in the world. She's just always all smiles and hugs and David is just a bucket of fun. He makes me laugh every time we hang out." 'America's Got Talent' premieres June 23 on NBC. The winner gets $1 million (USD). For many years we've seen that bronze look, the goddess look and it was pretty prominent. I feel this spring/summer we're starting to move away from all of that and playing into more of a natural complexion if you want, the natural hue of your own skin." Be it the outline, the contour that goes on beyond the natural lip line with lots of globby gloss on your lips. I feel that is totally dated. It does not look chic. It does not look now." I feel the smokey eye should be more for fall, those wintry season. When it comes to spring/summer, absolutely as we were saying before, a strong lash line is very cute. It's very sexy." 14. "Makeup should be seen like your wardrobe," says Longo "Each season you change your wardrobe. The sweater that I had last season that was a certain color, doesn't necessarily fit this season because for some reason it looks odd." His first tip for a chic summer look: lose the bronzer. "For many years we've seen that bronze look, the goddess look and it was pretty prominent," he says. "I feel this spring/summer we're starting to move away from all of that and playing into more of a natural complexion if you want, the natural hue of your own skin." Longo says another "dated" trend is excessive gloss: "I feel that one of the things women should put away for the spring summer is definitely too much shine on the lips. Be it the outline, the contour that goes on beyond the natural lip line with lots of globby gloss on your lips." Along with bright, bold matte lip color, Longo advises women when it comes to lashes, the bigger the better. "When it comes to spring/summer, absolutely as we were saying before, a strong lash line is very cute. It's very sexy," he says. His final words of wisdom are to toss the ever-popular smokey eye look and instead go for bright colors on the eyes, dewy cheeks and a well-defined lip. SOUNDBITE (English) Benjamin Bratt/Actor "Part of the crux for my character William Banks in the first season is it was always an awkward balance between what he did as a profession and what he strives to be which is a good husband and a good father. For however how much success he had in his job he was a miserable failure at home. He was never there." A&E 5. Clip - "The Cleaner" AP Television New York, 22 June 2009 6. At any given time while on the set you can see him with multiple, digital devices talking to his team. He's a bit of a mysterious guy and it remains kind of an enigma to me even but once you meet him you can kind of get the natural gravitas, the natural aura that he has in his persona and you kind of get that he's no joke. And the character that I play really is based on him and his life maybe 13 years ago when he first started helping people with recovery." A&E 7. Clip - "The Cleaner" AP Television New York, 22 June 2009 8. SOUNDBITE (English) Benjamin Bratt/Actor "Most people they sort of forget that she's a brilliant actress. She's inarguably an American icon and she's in our lives daily if you tune into 'The View' but um I think it's been awhile since she's actually acted by her own admission and the fact that she (A) started off as a fan of the show and developed a friendship with the show runner Jonathan Prince and then when invited jumped at the chance to come play with us. It really speaks highly of the show and of course we all were amazed and it was so fun to play opposite her. She does have one of those little gold statues as you know from a film she did called "ghost" and so to play with someone of her caliber and her soul really she's an amazing woman and has been really, really great for us." A&E 9. Clip- "The Cleaner" RETURN OF 'THE CLEANER' Benjamin Bratt is back playing a recovered drug addict trying to help others get clean by any means necessary in 'The Cleaner.' The show's second season premieres Tuesday (23JUNE2009) on A&E in the United States. What many people don't realize is Bratt's character is based on a real man named Warren Boyd who is an executive producer on the show. He also still works as an addiction counselor. He's even worked with individual celebrities but won't say who. "At any given time while on the set you can see him with multiple, digital devices talking to his team. He's a bit of a mysterious guy and it remains kind of an enigma to me," says Bratt. Whoopi Goldberg has a recurring role on this season of 'The Cleaner.' "It really speaks highly of the show and of course we all were amazed and it was so fun to play opposite her," says Bratt. "The Cleaner" airs Tuesdays at 10/9C on A&E.
