TAPE_NUMBER: EF01/0094 IN_TIME: 14:15:48 LENGTH: 02:56 SOURCES: APTN/SONY PICTURES RESTRICTIONS: No re-use/re-sale of film/video/tv clips without clearance FEED: VARIOUS (THE ABOVE TIME-CODE IS TIME-OF-DAY) SCRIPT: xfa STORY: WEDDING PLANNER PREMIERE LOCATION: LOS ANGELES DATE: 23 JANUARY 2001 Hot Hispanic star JENNIFER LOPEZ got back to her Latin roots as she worked the red carpet for the premiere of her latest movie, THE WEDDING PLANNER. She wore a Spanish outfit for the occasion, complete with a flower in her hair. The film is a romantic comedy and with Valentine's Day just around the corner, the topic of love was high on the agenda. It's been a busy week, for the actress who has also just released her second album, 'J.Lo.' In her new movie, Lopez plays Mary Fiore - the best wedding planner San Francisco has to offer. But although she's the best in the business, her own love life certainly needs some spicing up. When a near fatal accident brings her together with a handsome doctor, she thinks it's a dream come true. But the path of love has never run smoothly, and for Mary it's no different. Actor MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY ('U-571', 'EDTV', 'A Time To Kill', 'Amistad') plays her love interest - and he just happens to be the groom of her latest client. In a move away from his usual roles, the Texan actor enjoyed playing a romantic. But the actor revealed that he has yet to meet his perfect bride. Jennifer Lopez, who shot to fame in 'Selena' and then wowed audiences as an FBI agent opposite George Clooney in 'Out of Sight', is leading the Latino revoultion currently shaking up the global entertainment business, and the Hollywood rumour mill reports that she banked between $8 and 9 million for 'The Wedding Planner'. The movie is light-hearted and fun but carries one strong message: you can't plan for everything in life. Indeed, Lopez's real-life boyfriend, music mogul Sean 'Puffy' Coombs, faces gun charges and a possible prison sentence, though J. Lo. is standing by her man. Other cast members include BRIDGETTE WILSON SAMPRAS, who recently married tennis player Pete Sampras. She's says her new-found romantic ways are all down to him. JOANNA GLEASON, who played the mother of the bride, had nothing but praise for cast and crew. Other stars who came out to support Lopez included actress SARAH JESSICA PARKER and Will Smith's wife JADA PINKETT SMITH. And although she's only 14, Welsh singer CHARLOTTE CHURCH has obviously thought about her future nuptials and who is her ideal 'Prince Charming' - none other than Prince William, heir to the British throne. The 13-year-old VOICE OF AN ANGEL singer will be appearing in the Ford advert and provides the music for the two-minute commercial which will be aired on Sunday. The car giant has spent around 6 million pounds to block book airtime in countries around the world - known as a global roadblock - and is thought to be the largest ever screening of one commercial. Church filmed her slot around two months ago at a spectacular cliff-edge amphitheatre in Penzance, Cornwall. She was approached after an advertising executive devising the campaign heard her voice on London's Capital Radio and realised she would be perfect. Her aria JUST WAVE HELLO, specially written for her by DANNY BECKERMAN, will potentially be heard in 300 million households. Legendary record producer TREVOR HORN was drafted in to work on the music which will be accompanied on screen by people from different cultures gesturing hello and goodbye. The ad was filmed in nine countries, taking six months to make, and is designed to welcome the new Millennium, as well as celebrating the diversity of Ford customers. The commercial, to be screened at 9pm, will showcase Ford Motor Company's seven brands - Ford Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Jaguar Aston Martin and Volvo - together for the first time. Church will perform Just Wave Hello live on MTV on Sunday and is to sing at the closing ceremony of the Rugby World Cup on November 6. It crowns a year in which Church has met the Queen, the Pope and taken tea with US President Bill Clinton. Her first album Voice of an Angel broke sales records around the world and made Charlotte Church the youngest artist ever to debut in the top 30 on the US Pop charts. The 13-year-old Welsh singing sensation is also about to release an all-new album, CHARLOTTE CHURCH, filled with the world's favorite arias hand-picked to showcase Charlotte's voice. Wide shot police officers outside King Edward VII Hospital, where Queen Elizabeth II has been admitted 7. Close-up flag, tilt down to police outside hospital entrance STORYLINE Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has been admitted to hospital over an apparent stomach infection that has ailed her for days, Buckingham Palace said on Sunday. The monarch will have to cancel a visit to Rome and other engagements as she recovers. The palace said in a statement that the 86-year-old queen was experiencing symptoms of gastroenteritis. She is being examined at London's King Edward VII hospital, and "as a precaution, all official engagements for this week will regrettably be either postponed or cancelled," the palace said. The symptoms of gastroenteritis - vomiting and diarrhoea - are generally mild and usually pass after one or two days, but they can be more severe in older or otherwise more vulnerable people. Officials had said on Friday that Elizabeth was dealing with a stomach bug. She had to cancel a visit Swansea, Wales, on Saturday to present leeks - a national symbol - to soldiers of the Royal Welsh Regiment in honour of Wales' national day, St. David's Day. Elizabeth, who celebrated 60 years on the throne last year, rarely misses engagements due to ill health. About five months ago, she cancelled an engagement due to a bad back. She had been due to visit Rome on Wednesday and Thursday. Wide of Juan Carlos going through boarding gate ++mute++ STORYLINE: Falkland Island residents prepared on Sunday to mark the thirtieth anniversary of the short but bloody war in 1982 that began with the Argentine incursion on the British-administered South Atlantic cluster of Islands, a conflict that continues to resonate with islanders. Renewed tensions between Britain and Argentina have some in the community concerned, and islanders still feel they need an extensive military garrison, with warships and a nuclear submarine circling somewhere in the deep, to protect them from their Latin American neighbour. "We are worried we are going to go through it again, another invasion" said local resident Marie Lou Agnon. Argentina's government has been trying to use diplomatic and economic power to force Britain into sovereignty talks ahead of the April 2 anniversary of Argentina's 1982 invasion of the islands, which are known in Latin America as the Islas Malvinas. Many British people have travelled to the island to commemorate the events that saw 649 Argentines, 255 British and three islanders killed. Megan Griffiths, a tourist from Wales, stressed the Britishness of the Falkland islanders she had met on her visit. "They are so British here and from everybody we've met, they are so proud of being British, and we hope that it remains that way," she said. Islanders will turn out for a march by the Falkland Islands Defence Force later on Sunday, remembering the day their local militia mobilised just ahead of the invasion, while Argentines hold vigil at their Monument to the Fallen, in Ushuaia, capital of the country's southernmost province. On Monday, Argentina's President Cristina Fernandez will be in Ushuaia as well, leading rallies nationwide that honour the veterans as heroes and press her country's claim. Former members of the vanquished Argentine military ranks began a return journey on Saturday to the islands to pay tribute to their compatriots who died in the war. Argentine Air Force veteran Juan Carlos Lujan, about to board a flight to the Falklands in Santiago, Chile said the return evoked complicated emotions. "I am reliving something that was, during its moment, a mixture of emotion, of fear, of many things thrown together," he said as he prepared to board the plane. "It still seems hard to believe that I am actually returning to the islands."
