UN CONFERENCE - PARIS
Palais De Chaillot, Paris, France.

Soviet delegate to UNO, Mr Andrei Vyshinsky, speaking at the UN conference in Paris. CU. Vyshinsky speaking (natural sound, Russian). He says, with some irony, that it is possible that Russians are unable to grasp the UN resolution in the right way. However, he continues, as he understands it, the main question is the question of the international control of atomic weapons which is not essentially international but American. In that way US want the have the world control and world monopoly on atomic weapons.

Mr Hector McNeil speaking at the UN conference in Paris. CU. OUR BATHING BELLES - A CHISWICK STUDY
Chiswick open air swimming baths.

Approximately a dozen women suddenly appear from changing booths at the side of the pool - cute. They walk to the side of the pool and pose in their swimsuits. They walk along, hands on hips. We see various swimsuits and hats in C/U. The girls do high kicks by the side of the pool. They sit on the side and kick their legs in the water, a sign behind them reads: "Shallow End".

Intertitle reads: "California hasn't a monopoly of Bathing Belles or the latest in Beach Costumes". Shot missing. Next intertitle: "The other day we nearly lost our Cameraman - "The 'Rose Marie' girls were to blame - " said he. "But what peaches!" Two girls pose by pool. Hats seen in C/U.

Seems as though the shots are in the wrong order or some shots are missing.

Note: although this is more of a fashion parade, some shots could be used to represent a beauty contest. Nice stuff.

"Rose Marie" was a hugely successful stage show of 1925 which set the record for longest running show in the West End.

CLASSIC MONOPOLY GAME / ST. PAUL EDITION (2024)
It’s a game most of us played growing up. Monopoly, the classic board game, is creating a St. Paul edition. The game maker is looking for ideas from the public for what should appear on the board. “Whatever makes St. Paul special, that’s what we want to feature in the game,” it said. “We want to hear from you about the favorite hole-in-the-wall joints, mom and pops, all the way up to some of the biggest internationally known companies, organizations, non-profits, restaurants, sports teams, schools, you name it.”
