This color film “Steel Is A Farmer” was produced for the American Iron and Steel Institute sometime in the 1960s. It opens with a farmer on a tractor (:27). The importance of this profession is measured in crops to feed people (:52) and produce clothing, represented as men’s suits and ties (1:00), on clothing racks (1:06), and on mannequins of women wearing dresses with Peter Pan collars and a head scarf (1:11) and paisley prints (1:18).
