Wheat growing despite cutting, timelapse
Timelapse footage of green wheat (Triticum sp.) shoots growing in a tray of soil. Midway through the clip the tops of the blades are cut, as if in a mown lawn. Unlike many other plants grasses grow from the base, not the tip, so mowing or damage from grazing animals does not stop their growth. This adaptation has allowed grasses to flourish despite constant grazing.
