HIGH SEAS RESCUE
COAST GUARD OFFICIALS MAKE A DRAMATIC HIGH SEAS RESCUE IN THE ATLANTIC OCEAN EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. BATTLING SEVERE WEATHER, THE COAST GUARD RESCUED THREE CREW MEMBERS FROM A 42-FOOT BOAT 360-MILES EAST OF SAVANNAH, GEORGIA. TWENTY FOOT SEAS AND 35-KNOT WINDS TOSSED THE SAILBOAT SO BADLY THAT A RESCUE SWIMMER WAS DEPLOYED. AFTER HOISTING THREE PEOPLE, THE HELICOPTER'S CABLE SNAPPED IN THE ROUGH WEATHER. THE RESCUE SWIMMER SPENT FIVE HOURS IN TEH COLD WATER WAITING FOR ANOTHER RESCUE HELICOPTER. HE US SUFFERING FROM HYPOTHERMIA. THE RESCUED CREW MEMBERS ARE ALL DOING FINE.
