As with all elephant seals, a large part of Homer's day is devoted to scratching to relieve an itch. Only this is no ordinary scratch. 0012 SOUNDBITE: (English) "He's damaged about three vehicles to our knowledge now, he's destroyed a rubbish tin, he's flattened a couple of boat trailers, he's destroyed a pohutakawa tree, so um, he gets quite aggressive at times" SUPERCAPTION: superviser 0026 But it's the attention he receives from humans that is most worrying.
