Conjunction over Parkes Observatory. Time-lapse footage of a conjunction of astronomical bodies in the night sky over the radio telescope of the Parkes Observatory, New South Wales, Australia. The astronomical bodies (forming a triangle) are the crescent Moon (lower left), Venus (top), and Jupiter (lower right). Comet PanSTARRS C/2014 Q1 is also visible below the Moon. The radio telescope antenna is 64 metres across. Parkes Observatory participates in SETI (the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence). Footage filmed in July 2015.
