According to the ministry, during airspace monitoring in the Krasnoarmeysk direction, some 60 kilometers from Ukrainian region of Donetsk, an observation post detected an enemy reconnaissance UAV of the aircraft type. The target's coordinates were relayed to the crew of a “Strela-10” air defense missile system. “After locking onto the target, the servicemen launched a missile and destroyed the Ukrainian reconnaissance drone, identified as the ‘Leleka’,” the statement said. The ministry reported that a makeshift loitering munition deployed by Ukrainian forces was also shot down. “The device caught fire in the air and detonated upon impact with the ground,” it added.
