Trooper Killed (04/25/1997)
An Indiana trooper was killed today when he stopped along a highway to help a motorist. 26-year-old Trooper Andrew Winzenread was helping the motorist along highway 74 when a semi-trailer truck side-swiped his police cruiser, killing him and injuring the motorist. Winzenread's wife gave birth to their daughter only a month ago.
