A rare South American bird is starting to make a comeback, aided by an effort at a Florida theme park. The bird is called a Lear's Macaw. It is so endangered that there are believed to be no more than 104 of the birds in the entire world. What's even more remarkable is that this fact is considered great news. In 1978, the year these birds were first recognized by modern science, there were only 60 remaining. But since then, efforts to help the species has nearly doubled the population. Busch Gardens in Tampa houses the only two known Lear's Macaws outside of Brazil.
