IT WAS JUST AFTER 3-P-M TUESDAY WHEN SAYFULLO SAIPOV (prono: say-FULL-oh sah-EE-pohv), A 29-YEAR-OLD UZBEK-NATIONAL, DROVE A RENTED TRUCK INTO A CROWD OF BICYCLISTS AND PEDESTRIANS NEAR THE WORLD TRADE CENTER.
Witness/ MOS: It happened out of nowhere. I was walking down the street, it was a normal day and just out of nowhere I hear and see people. I see people running and screaming.
Witness/ MOS: I look down and I see a truck going down towards Chambers Street. He"s in the bike lane clearly in the bike lane and I see when I go down I see two gentlemen laying right there in the bike lane with tire marks across their body.
WITNESSES ALSO REPORT SAIPOV SHOUTED ALLAHU AKBAR AND A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL SAYS THERE WAS A NOTE IN THE TRUCK CLAIMING THE ATTACK WAS DONE IN THE NAME OF ISIS

O"Neill / NYPD Commissioner: After the collision, the driver of the truck, a 29-year-old male, exited the vehicle brandishing two handguns. a uniformed police officer, assigned to the 1st Precinct, confronted the subject and shot him in the abdomen. The subject was wounded and transported to a local hospital.

After 39 years as a TV broadcaster for the New York Yankees and a member of the baseball hall of fame Phil The Scooter Rizzuto retires from WPIX television after being told he has to work rather than attend former teammate Mickey Mantle's funeral. Rizzuto was later persuaded to return to WPIX for one more season.

Photographers and press interviewing three women in the courthouse lobby. Cameras of press news organizations and journalists are set up on tripod stand by cameramen. Camera of television station 'WPIX' is also seen. Bookie, Frank Erickson, with counsel, in hall of the courthouse. Several persons are photographed and interviewed by the press. This documentary film depicts the life of the notorious dictator, Adolf Hitler. It provides a glimpse into his personal life including time spent with Eva Braun at the Berchtesgaden retreat among other Nazi officials and young women. It is comprised of actual footage filmed by Nazi’s as well as Eva Braun’s own home films. It highlights the rather lavish and almost celebrity-like world the Nazi’s enjoyed while WW2’s bloody battle raged on. This is the second part of the two part feature. This section opens with Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor and General Eisenhower meeting with General Omar Bradley (:17). Pearl Harbor drew other generals into the battle including Montgomery and Arthur Tedder (:24). American fighter planes swing into the North African desert in 1942 (:36). Hitler is pictured pacing the perimeter of his home (1:03) as the Russian invasion was stalled. Allied forces entered Sicily, Italy on July 10th, 1943 (1:24). Hitler called upon Mussolini for a conference (1:32). A bikini clad Eva is filmed as she does yoga by the water’s edge (1:54). Slave laborers in Nazi Germany consisted of the very old and the very young (2:29) all of which were very emaciated. They are pictured fighting over sparse supplies of food (2:44). The Berchtesgaden retreat is pictured situated in the Bavarian Alps (2:59). Eva and her friends horse around in bikinis providing entertainment for the military officials (3:02). Eva’s sister Gretl plays under a waterfall (3:20) in a crystal spring. The German concentration camp known as Brausebad follows (3:44). The shower heads which poured out poison gas in the death chambers are zoomed in on (3:49). A German cyanide can is pictured (3:54). Skeletal bodies of the recently gassed hang limp over litters (4:09). The Nazi’s salvaged all clothing and items of value from the dead (4:16). Wreckage is captured along the shoreline as American and British troops crossed Messina (4:26). General Mark Clark, whom led the invasion, appears at (4:32). Mussolini is captured as he steps from a plane into Germany (4:48). By the year of 1946, the Allied forces had gained much control over the air (5:31). Images of military badges from numerous nations follow as this war united many (6:05). The faces of children refugees follow (6:33). Footage is then presented of a birthday party of one of Eva’s friend’s children (6:54). D-Day took place on June 6th, 1946 as the Allies stormed Normandy (7:32). Paratroopers cascade down (7:42). Following the failed bomb plot to assassinate Hitler on July 20th, 1944; Hitler organized a meeting (7:47). General George Patton is pictured on the western front (8:54). Hitler is seen with his dog, Blondie (9:09). The Russian front appears as German’s were driven from Romania, Yugoslavia and Greece (9:21). German troops are pictured surrendering as the Allies moved across France (9:50). Hitler and Eva then fled to the Reich chancellery in Berlin (10:44). Berlin was under heavy attack (11:50). Civilians flee the city (11:16). On April 20th, 1945 Russian soldiers ‘mopped up’ the Berlin suburbs (12:48). At this point, Hitler and Eva retreated underground to the bunker (13:01). Julius Schaub (13:16) recalls the events of April 22nd, 1945, a few days prior to Hitler and Eva Braun’s suicides. The pair married on April 29th of the year (14:22). Hitler’s personal pilot; Hans Baur, dictates Hitler’s final orders (14:26). Baur was personally responsible for the burning of Eva and Adolf’s bodies (15:01). The Ruins of the Reich chancellery follow (16:24). Their bodies were later tossed into the courtyard pictured here (16:34). Erich Kempka; Adolf’s personal chauffer was charged with the task of pouring gasoline on the corpses (16:44). Joseph Goebbels shot his six children and then had SS Officials execute himself and his wife (17:40). Celebrations erupt as Russian’s string up their flag over the Brandenburg Gate (17:47). The US flag was strung up by American troops arriving from the west (17:52). Scenes of ruin in Berlin pass before the screen from May 4th, 1945 (18:17). Eagle’s Nest in Bavaria follows (18:39). Allied troops wander through Hitler’s hideout and belongings (16:42). This film was a WPIX Inc.
