ONE PERSON WAS KILLED AND SIXTY FIVE PASSENGERS WERE INJURED WHEN AN ALOHA AIRLINES FLIGHT SUFFERED EXPLOSIVE DECOMPRESSION IN FLIGHT. THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY LANDING DESPITE HAVING PART OF THE FUSELAGE RIPPED AWAY.

The pilot and co-pilot of Aloha Airlines flight #243 were honored today by the Airline Pilots Association, for their heroic efforts to land their passenger jet after it was crippled by explosive decompression.
