INT MS in interview Airbus representative Clay McConnell says they don't believe that rudder pedal sensitivity had a role in the crash of American Airlines Flight 587, which took off from JFK airport and crashed shortly afterwards in the Belle Harbor neighborhood of Queens. He says "Airbus would be certainly willing to-to work with the FAA to explore some sort of standards for rudder pedal sensitivity, but we do not believe that rudder pedal sensitivity had any role in this accident because of the forces being applied to the pedals by the pilot."
