STORYLINE:
Football teams from Mexico, France and South Korea arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa on Saturday ahead of the World Cup.
South Korea will play in Group B, along with Argentina, Nigeria and Greece - with their first match in the tournament against the former European champions Greece in Port Elizabeth on June 12.
Following shortly after the Korean team came Mexico, who will play the opening game of the tournament against hosts South Africa at Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg next Friday, 11 June.
Their other Group A opponents are France and Uruguay.
Mexico will be based in the Gauteng region, with all their games played at higher altitude levels in South Africa - Johannesburg, Polokwane and Rustenburg.
Mexico also faces France and Uruguay in Group A with many Mexicans feeling the team could be one of the big surprises in South Africa.
The French team also arrived in South Africa, already facing criticism after a poor result in a warm-up friendly.
The French squad touched down at George Airport before sunrise on Saturday, greeted by a brass band and fans blowing plastic vuvuzela trumpets.
The team arrived from the island of Reunion off Africa's east coast, where they suffered a shock 1-0 defeat by China on Friday.
