MORE THAN FIVE-THOUSAND U-S TROOPS ARE HELPING FIGHT ISIS IN IRAQ.
BUT ON JULY FOURTH, THEY TOOK A PAUSE TO MARK THE AMERICA"S BIRTHDAY.
 --SOT--
Col. Ryan Dillon, Spokesman, Combined Joint Task Force:
"I can say that any soldier, airman, Marine, anywhere in any deployment is always gonna find his way to celebrate, whether that be Fourth of July, or Christmas, we will always find the way. But just right outside my office here, Old Glory is flying throughout this installation, probably a-hundred flags are waving in the Iraqi breeze right now, so we will always find a way. But another thing that I would like to highlight is that this coalition, a true coalition, with 23 partner nations that are contributing forces, it"s almost every week that we can celebrate something. Canada Day was just on the first of July, so we can celebrate pretty regularly here."
 -TAG--
U-S TROOPS HAVE AN EXTRA REASON TO CELEBRATE THIS YEAR.
THEIR ALLIES ARE MAKING PROGRESS IN PUSHING ISIS OUT OF THE IRAQI CITY OF MOSUL, AS WELL AS THE TERROR GROUP"S SELF-PROCLAIMED CAPITAL OF RAQQA, SYRIA.

SOUNDBITE (Korean) by Kim Jeong-eun, actress "This movie mixed various things that people like and brought those things into family affection which seems to make people like this movie. This is not a story about gangster, but just used gangsters to set up a background. Based on this, this movie was produced as romantic and family comedy movie. These elements seem to make people forget about their stress and enjoy and laugh." 9. Clips 10. cutaway of a director of the movie, The Glory of Our Family 11. SOUNDBITE (Korean) by Jung Hungsoon, director of The Glory of the Family "The item was good and I started working on scenario with this item two years ago. I tried to make a movie that can satisfy Korean people's sentiment. Very Korean-style movie. That's why this movie have appealed to people." 12. Cutaway of movie making and movie poster photo taking 14. Cutaway of Oh Dong-jin, Senior reporter at FILM 2.0 magazine 15. SOUNDBITE (Korean) by Oh Dong-jin, Senior reporter at FILM 2.0 magazine "When the Glory of Our Story was released, the movie was not welcomed by critics. But it's true that this kind of romantic comedies or gangster comedies have always been enjoyed by a certain number of people. Also this kind of movie contributes something to society. Because we live in a very complicated and wicked society, people expect to laugh simply from this kind of movie. So I think this kind of people's expectation has helped this movie to make a top score on the box office." 16. movie posters 17. people at the theater 18. SOUNDBITE (Korean) Oh Dong-jin, Senior reporter at FILM 2.0 magazine "Even though Korean movie industry has developed a lot for last 2 to 3 years or 4 to 5 years, I don't think Korea movie monopolize Korean movie market, sweeping Hollywood movie out of Korea. But not anymore will (Korean) movie industry or culture be composed or structured by cultural subordinate relationship because Korean movie has been developing enough energy by itself." 19. Various shots of Korean movie posters with Hollywood movies at the theater ROMANTIC COMEDY BREAKS RECORDS A gangster movie has broken Korean box-office records this year, marking over 420 million admissions midweek. Few critics expected 'The Glory of Our Family' to be so successful after it being criticized for being just another gangster comedy. But the majority of movie goers seem to think that 'The Glory of Our Family' is the best movie of the year. In the film a young venture CEO Dae-seo wakes up naked with an strange woman next to him on the bed. Unfortunately the woman, Jin-kyung, is a gangster boss's only daughter. The accident causes Jin-kyung's brothers to break into Dae-seo's office to threaten him and beat him up. However when they discover that Dae-seo is a law school graduate from Seoul National University (a top Korean IVY-league school) they decide that he must be the one who should marry Jin-kyung, a college educated but ignorant girl. The brothers think this match would be good for the family's reputation. The resulting action revolves around her fathers and brothers efforts to make Dae-seo and Jin-kyung a happy couple in order for the union to bring glory to the gangster family. The director tried to reflect current trends in Korean society where people believe their quality of life to be greatly enhanced by the level of education they recieve. People's obsession for a good education has driven teen-agers in S. Korea to spend their time studying extremely hard in order to secure places at top universities. The Korean movie industry has developed a lot in the last few years and has changed the way Koreans think about Korean films. Recently Korean movies have taken almost 50% of the box-office while many Hollywood films seems to be losing out. This is the second movie for director Jung Hungsoon who made his debut in 1997 with "The Wanted Man." Costing $3.2m 'The Glory Of Our Family' has become the second major money-maker of the year for the Cinema Service after 'Kang Woo-suk's Public Enemy', which grossed $16m in February.

JOE JOHNS REPORTS.
 --REPORTER PKG-AS FOLLOWS--
Sen. Jeff Flake:
"It is time for our complicity and our accommodation of the unacceptable to end."
OUTGOING SENATOR JEFF FLAKE -- FIERCELY DENOUNCING PRESIDENT TRUMP"S POLICIES *AND* BEHAVIOR AS "DANGEROUS" TO DEMOCRACY -- AND CALLING ON HIS FELLOW REPUBLICANS TO DO THE SAME.
Sen. Jeff Flake:

FLAKE -- *RAILING* AGAINST THE POLITICS IN THE ERA OF TRUMP -- THE UNDERMINING OF DEMOCRATIC IDEALS ... THE PERSONAL INSULTS... AND WHAT HE CALLED THE "FLAGRANT DISREGARD FOR TRUTH AND DECENCY":
Sen. Jeff Flake:
"Reckless, outrageous and undignified behavior has become excused and countenance as telling it like it is when it is actually just reckless, outrageous and undignified. We were not made great as a country by indulging or even exalting our worst impulses, turning against ourselves, glorying in the things which divide us, and calling fake things true and true things fake."
SENATE MAJORITY LEADER MITCH MCCONNELL -- PRAISING FLAKE"S SPEECH -- BUT *PUNTING* WHEN ASKED BY REPORTERS HOW THE PARTY WOULD RESPOND:
Reporter:
"At what point do you have an obligation as a leader of this party to weigh in on these very serious criticisms of the president?"
Sen. Mitch McConnell"
"What I have an obligation to do is to try to achieve the greatest cohesion I can among 52 Republicans, to try to achieve for the American people the agenda that we set out to achieve."
FLAKE"S SWEEPING INDICTMENT -- COMING HOURS AFTER REPUBLICAN SENATOR BOB CORKER ALSO *BLASTED* MR. TRUMP --
Sen. Bob Corker:
"The president has great difficulty with the truth. I don"t know why he lowers himself to such a low, low standard, and debases our country in a way that he does, but he does."
THE *RETIRING* SENATE FOREIGN RELATIONS COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN -- EXPRESSING CONCERN THAT THE UNITED STATES" POSITION IN THE WORLD IS *SUFFERING* UNDER PRESIDENT TRUMP:
Sen. Bob Corker:
"World leaders are very aware that much of what he says is untrue. He purposely is breaking down, relationships we have around the world that have been useful to our nation."
THEIR FEUD REACHING A BOILING POINT WITH THE PRESIDENT RESPONDING TO CORKER"S ATTACKS IN A SERIES OF TWEETS -- AGAIN CALLING HIM "LIDDLE."
THE WHITE HOUSE -- BRUSHING OFF THE CRITICISM AS "PETTY" -- WHILE WELCOMING THE DECISION OF THE SENATORS TO RETIRE:
Sarah Sanders:
"I think that they were not likely to be re-elected. And I think that shows that the support is more behind this President than it is those two individuals."
A SOURCE FAMILIAR WITH THE PRESIDENT"S THINKING SAYS HE IS IN HIGH SPIRITS AFTER FLAKE"S ANNOUNCEMENT...
AN ALLY OF MR. TRUMP"S FORMER CHIEF STRATEGIST - ALSO CELEBRATING - SAYING:
